Leadership

Leadership, to me, has always meant more than holding a title — it’s about responsibility, vision, and creating the conditions for others to succeed. From my earliest entrepreneurial ventures to my time starting competitive teams at The Harvey School and Lafayette College, I’ve sought out opportunities to take initiative, inspire collaboration, and move ideas from concept to reality. Whether outfitting a campus makerspace to support student innovation or helping coordinate community mask making efforts during the COVID-19 crisis, I’ve learned that effective leadership begins with listening, adaptability, and a willingness to take action when it matters most.

Harvey Ski Team

2018 - 2019

During my sophomore year of high school at The Harvey School, my good friend Alex Breitenbach and I founded The Harvey Ski Team.  With the generous help of our parents and school, racers were able to gear up with swap meet gear and develop team jackets to formalize our new team.  In our first two seasons, the team won individual and overall awards in our league.  The team, led by Coach Leibovic, is still sliding down the slopes between racing gates today!

Lafayette Cycling Team

2019 - 2023

After arriving on campus and realizing how large the cycling community at Lafayette was, I knew formalizing would lead me and my fellow cyclists to endless opportunities.  With the help of Nathan Keller and Michael Gervase, we founded the Lafayette Cycling Team as a subset of the Lafayette Outdoors Society.  In our years on campus, the cycling team attended several seasons of ECCC collegiate competitions, USAC racing events, and organized trips across the Northeast for riding.  The cycling team was an incredibly rewarding experience that shaped my college career, and it still rolls on with new members every year.

Lafayette Outdoors Society

2021 - 2022

The Lafayette Outdoors Society (LOSt) played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. Through semesterly camping trips, evening hikes, group rides, climbing events, and fall and spring break adventures, I built lifelong friendships, created some of my favorite memories, and gained invaluable leadership experience.

Recognizing how much LOSt had enriched my first two years at Lafayette, I stepped into the role of President with the goal of giving back to the club I cared deeply about. In that position, I worked to help the organization continue growing, creating opportunities for more students to connect with the outdoors and each other.

Lafayette Ski & Ride Team

2022 - 2023

Serving as President of the Lafayette Ski Team was one of the most rewarding leadership roles of my college experience. The team’s annual trip to Jay Peak, weekend races throughout the spring semester, and national competitions at destinations like Lake Placid and Mammoth Mountain created not only unforgettable experiences but also a strong sense of camaraderie among teammates.

In this role, I managed nearly a $100,000 annual budget, coordinating travel, lodging, race logistics, and fundraising to keep the team thriving. Leadership meant more than handling operations — it was about sustaining traditions, building community, and ensuring every member felt supported both on and off the mountain, all while keeping the team competitive on the national stage.
