About

During high school, I was an active member of The Harvey School’s robotics program, the “RoboCavs.”  Being on my high school’s VEX Robotics team was an exciting blend of design, coding, and teamwork. I helped build and program robots for competition, learning to integrate sensors, motors, and autonomous routines. The process of brainstorming, prototyping, and refining our designs taught me problem-solving, persistence, and how to work effectively with a team under pressure.  It was a fantastic outlet for my engineering and creativity throughout high school.

 

In 2018, I was part of Team 6277D alongside Owen Li and Parker Burke. That year, we reached the semifinals at the Southern New York State VEX Robotics Championship, competing against 50 teams in the VEX EDR game In the Zone.

In 2019, I attended the VEX World Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, as a senior member of Team 6277D with Alex Breitenbach and junior Samson Gelfand. While our team didn’t advance to the elimination rounds, I played a key role in supporting other teams and assisting our coaches with logistics and equipment management. I helped manage schedules, ensure equipment readiness, and keep everything running smoothly during the competition.

Beyond robotics, I co-founded The Harvey School Alpine Racing Team with Alex Breitenbach during my junior year. Together, we developed the concept for the team and collaborated with the athletic department to establish it as a school-sponsored program. Leading both robotics and alpine racing initiatives allowed me to combine my technical skills with leadership and teamwork, while helping expand the extracurricular opportunities available to students at my school.
